Websites?

Hi Miss Nabila and fellow classmates.

So for this post I am suppose to tell you a website that I like. The website that I have chosen is http://www.mudah.my/

The website is classified under commercial sites. Now, the reason is chose that as my favourite site is because you can literally find anything that you want in there. As for me, I like to modify cars so I often look for car parts that I wanted in there, 3 out of 5 times the parts that I am looking for will be in there and the price can be negotiated.
I know that most people will say that there is a lot a of conman in there, that is why when I want to buy something I always call the seller and negotiate a time and place where I can meet the owner, view the item and if I am interested with the item, collect it straight away. I never bank-in my money and ask the seller to post the item to me because the is no guarantee that the seller is not a conman. The furthest that I have gone to collect my item was in Kedah, so I ask the seller to give me a special discount for my travelling distance and guess what, I got the discount.

The other reason that I like mudah.my is because the location is broken into states. It makes my searching simpler because I can search for it in a specific state and then go ahead to the sellers location. If the item that I am looking for is rarer than usual, then I can set it to search for the item in the whole of Malaysia. If its not in there also, then I can start to look for it in an international website such as eBay and yahoo classifieds.

So I think thats all for this post. Have a nice day to all of you and see you in class! =)

Digital effects in videos

Hi Miss Nabila and other fellow classmates!

This post is about digital video effects that are widely used nowadays. The purpose of digital video effects is to make the video more awesome thus making it more interesting to watch. Here is the detail meaning of digital video effects that I got from Wikipedia.

"Digital Video Effects, commonly called DVEs, are visual effects that provide comprehensive video image manipulation, in the same form as optical printer effects in film. DVE effects differ from switcher effects (ofter referred to as "analog effects") such as wipes or dissolves, in that they deal primarily with resizing, distortion or movement of the primary visual image."                                       -Wikipedia-

After that explaination, let's check out the example of digital video effects that I got from Youtube.

Gnarls Barkley - Crazy

That video was made in the year 2006 and it was using the 'ink bleeding effect in after effects.' I actually look in the internet on how they make this video back in those days because I am so fascinated by the effects and it looked different from other music videos of that era. Here is the link on how they made the video that I found back then:-

So that's all from me, I hope you enjoyed the video as much as I do. See you in class. :)

The event that I attended.

Hi Miss Nabila and all other fellow classmates!

This is my second post which is to make the article for an event that I attended recently. My group mates and I have chosen the "I Heart Batik" campaign as the event for us to write on. My group mates are Daniel, Shafiq, Kathy and Jo An. So without further delay, let's start it off shall we?

The "I Heart Batik" campaign was held recently on Wednesday, 4th July 2012 and was staged by the final year students of the School of Communication Studies (SoCS). It was held at the SEGi Multipurpose Hall in Kota Damansara with its main goal to boost batik culture among local youths.

The event was officiated by Bumiputra Designer Association (BDA) vice-president Bon Zainal Harun and SEGi deputy vice chancellor Jamaludin Mohaiadin. This campaign was also supported by the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture.

First on its agenda was the performance by Rhythm Nation, a band that was formed by SEGi students itself. Following right after that is the dance performance by the dance crew Rokusteps.

The highlight of the show was the fashion show of the 10 local designers that are a member of the BDA itself.
Among the names are, Amir Luqman, Azmir Gafar, Fairuz Ramdan, Hasfitri Yusof, Hazree Wahid, Melvin Shah, Nabella, Ramond Zack, Wanpa and Zattera Apparel.  Each of the collections featured by the designers were well-presented by the models and audiences got their own favourite designs based on audiences own personality.

Another up and coming band, Wanted Symphony performed in the middle of the two catwalk sessions and the show concluded with a local singer Zur Eda, splendid performance and a duet with one of the designers Ramond Zack as the closure for the evening. All in all, the event was a big success in delivering its message to the youth about batik culture.

Who Am I?

Hi there you. Welcome to my first attempt at doing a blog. Well you read that right, this is my first time making a blog and writing in it. So if there is any comment or complaint on how to improve my blog or my writing, please feel free to drop a comment below. I will gladly read them and respond to it accordingly.

Well, let's stop delaying shall we and let me introduce myself to you. My name is Mohamed Hanis Aizat bin Abdullah, you can call me Aizat, Hanis, or Hanis Aizat whichever you want because frankly I don't mind as long as it is my name. I was born on 20th April 1989 in General Hospital Kuala Lumpur so that makes me 23 years old now. I'm the oldest of 2 siblings and my younger brother now is in standard 5. I have graduated my diploma in TESL(Teaching English as Second Language). Yep, I was previously a teacher, BUT, please don't judge my English as I am only human and I do make mistakes too. I have never officially teach in a school but I do have some internship experience as a teacher for 3 months in Sekolah Rendah Seksyen 9 Shah Alam. My teaching experience was great as I am allowed to teach standard 1 and 2 pupils and all of them are super cute and adorable. I still keep in touch with some of my students via Facebook and they do ask me questions about their homework sometimes. Well, you must be asking yourself, why do I change my field of study if I love teaching so much? Actually, I don't. TESL was my parents choice as that time there was a shortage of English teachers in Malaysia. When I graduated, there were more graduates in TESL than what was actually needed in school to teach. So for my degree my parents allowed me to pick the field of study that I wanted which was Mass Communication. Voila! Now here I am in my second year of study to pursue my dream of working in the media industry.

That's enough about me, let's talk about media technologies. Media technologies is rapidly growing everyday, without any signs of stopping any time soon. Sometimes I even wondered, "how advanced all this technology going to be in 10 years time?" Our forefathers can live without it, why are we complicating our lives with all these technologies that is going to destroy us one day(example: Terminator 1,2,3). But then it dawned on me, without the advancement in technology, I am not able to use my car, my internet and my phone. And those three things are the most important things to me because I use them everyday. So then I thought to myself, "maybe I am looking at things from a wrong point of view." Technologies was invented to help make our life easier and stress free(almost anyway). So from that point onwards, my opinion changed. Advancement in media technologies has helped me when I want to send my slides to my groupmates, chat with a friend from overseas and also to watch videos of current happenings in Youtube. With the rise of modern computer technology, this is all possible at the comfort of my home, what more can I ask for? I am really thankful because the media technologies nowadays are able to do all of these and can't wait to see what is in store for us in the future. :)
